Student voices matter.

Julie believes in young people and their ideas. This is why Julie actively engages Edmonton Public students in her campaign.

The students involved are a lot like Julie in her youth.

Interested in civic issues. Interested in politics. Looking for a voice. Looking to use their skills. Looking for a way to make positive change.

Students have been part of Julie’s campaign since the beginning. In May, Julie and grade 11 student, Aeysha Irfan kicked things off with a #KusiekChats about how youth can get involved. Youth volunteers:

  • Raise critical issues they face in their schools and communities with Julie
  • Help shape Julie’s priorities
  • Join Julie door knocking
  • Help deliver flyers
  • Build and set up lawn signs
  • Create campaign social media and web graphics
